ECPT Our Mission

The East Cambridge Planning Team is an independently incorporated neighborhood association. We work to enhance the quality of life and the environment in East Cambridge. ECPT advocates for the community on issues concerning urban planning, commercial and residential development, preserving and creating green and open space, city policy, community safety, and access to resources and services that benefit residents. We strive to build a strong and lively community by supporting neighbors, local businesses and cultural and social service organizations. We collaborate with local partners to host informational forums and family friendly events. ECPT meetings are open to everyone, although only residents of East Cambridge may vote.

ECPT is dedicated to nurturing the human and friendly interactions that make neighborhoods special, and to honoring the cultural and social diversity of East Cambridge. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, respectful, multicultural organization.  We are always open and welcoming to new members.

Ice Cream Social at the East End House

Are you looking for a way to cool off, talk with your neighbors, and have a great time? Join us for an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30p.m. at East End House. There will be a cupcake decorating contest, moonbounce, a raffle, and lots of other activities for kids and adults! Of course there will be lots of ice cream with all the toppings! The event is sponsored by East End House, the Cambridge Police Department, and the East Cambridge Planning Team. We hope to see you all there! Bent Street Development.

Bent Street Land Company, LLC, wants to develop a mixed-use project on three blocks in East Cambridge. This project will have major implications for East Cambridge. Future meetings related to this project will be posted here. In the meantime, you may send the planning board a letter with concerns such as traffic, open space, lack of setbacks, and noise. You can fax the letter to 617-349-4669, or e-mail it to Lisa Paden.
